STEAM Makerspace

Student Driven - Educator Supported

At the Makerspace, students select a project that interests them, then drop-in to our Incubator at their convenience. The program encourages students to explore at their own pace, in a safe environment with access to educators, tools, and materials. Surrounded by peers, students socialize, share ideas, and brainstorm creative solutions.

How it Works

  • Makerspace students come to the STEAM Incubator at their convenience up to four hours a week during Makerspace hours.

  • Access to Tools: Each student is loaned a Maker Kit for their use at STEAM with specific tools and materials to complete their project. They will also have non-exclusive access to additional tools, like woodworking and robotics, as needed.

  • Materials:

    • Standard Programs: Enough materials are provided to be successful and complete the set project. project, but they are limited. If additional materials are wanted, students may purchase or bring additional items.
