Investigate a variety of popular video games and discuss what makes them ideal for Esports. Explore systematic strategy and tactics to improve your play. When not playing discuss a variety of computer languages and practice computer programming. Develop basic and intermediate skills programmers apply to develop the Metagame. Apply this knowledge and advance your programming skills to design a game in Roblox Studio. Throughout the week discuss issues concerning video games in our society today such as stereotyped characters, addiction, and gaming as an evolving art form. Gamers and non-gamers are welcome and encouraged to take this course. This course is only offered once this summer and taught by computer programmer Matias Seibert. Matias is a trained programmer and spends his free time mastering Super Smash Bros.
