Charlottesville, VA is where STEAM Discovery Academy came to life. Since our first summer in 2017, STEAM has grown to a year-round science hub for the local community. We offer a variety of year round program options to fit busy schedules and provide access to STEAM Learning.

STEAM is the intersection of education and entertainment - Edutainment. It is the place that sparks new ideas and creativity. The place where resilience and confidence flourish. It’s the freedom to explore new concepts, test ideas, receive feedback, and try again with educator support. ​

Summer Programs
Experience Total Fun
Open to local students in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade, our week-long courses take place local schools.
Courses are designed around a theme and students with workshops that include hands-on activities, new concepts, and creative challenges.

After School & Day Off Camps
Interactive Learning
Hosted at our Incubator, join us for interactive workshops designed to inspire students to explore STEAM. With program options from weekly clubs, to school’s closed programs, to our new Makerspace program, we have options to fit everyone’s schedule and interests.

We are thrilled to partner with Charlottesville Catholic School to provide on-site aftercare programming for their Kindergarten through Eighth grade students.
Featuring daily STEAM workshops, students will have the opportunity to supplement their school learning with fun and creative activities!

We are proud to offer year round programming that is open to all local students! Weekday, after school, and weekend programs are now available in addition to schools day out! Come explore and learn with our experienced educators!

Parents may enter the lobby, drop their student off with our team, and browse the STEAM Products We Love, but are asked to stay in the public areas.

​
STEAM Discovery Academy programs are open to all students during the summer at Charlottesville Catholic School’s state-of-the-art STEAM wing. Indoor air-conditioned facilities provide a comfortable, secure, and weatherproof environment for young minds to blossom.
With ample outdoor areas, students do many activities outdoors, have recreation time on the playground & fields, and enjoy snacks and lunch outside (weather dependent).

Drop Off / Pick Up Location
​
Student drop off and pick up are in the BACK of Charlottesville Catholic School. Students will be greeted at your car, have their temperatures checked, and be escorted into the building. At departure, students will be brought to your car.
