For Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA and Girl Scouts

STEAM Discovery Academy offers hands-on STEM experiences designed to support Scout advancement, problem-solving, and teamwork. Our sessions are ideal for den meetings, pack meetings, Pinewood Derby build nights, and special Scout events.

All programs take place in a safe, supervised STEAM workspace with flexible options to match your unit’s goals and level of support.

Choose Your Scout Experience (All sessions are 2 hours)

Basic Space Access — $80

Best for leader-led activities or independent build nights.

Includes:

Monitored access to our STEAM workspace
Tables, chairs, and general build areas
Great for pack meetings, den projects, or Scout-run activities
(Supplies available for purchase)

Standard Group Session — $150

Perfect for units looking for light guidance while maintaining leader involvement.

Includes:

Access to the STEAM workspace
Basic instruction and activity support from STEAM staff

Ideal for engineering challenges or advancement-related activities
(Supplies available for purchase)

Enhanced Supervision & Guided Build — $200 + $10 per Scout

Our most popular option for Pinewood Derby, Raingutter Regatta and Basketweaving builds and engineering challenges.

Includes:

Guided facilitation by STEAM educators
Access to specialized tools and equipment
Structured build support and testing opportunities
Designed to support teamwork, planning, and problem-solving skills

$15 per Scout - Available with any build session.

Official Pinewood Derby car kit

Adult & Chaperone Policy:

All adult leaders and chaperones attend free
Leaders are encouraged to participate and support Scouts
